Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Sylvie Health ("we", "us", "our") runs free patient education webinars in New Zealand. We take the privacy of the people who register for our webinars seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Information Privacy Principles.

What information we collect

When you register for a webinar or sign up to hear about future events, we may collect:

We do not ask you for, and you should not send us, detailed information about your medical history, diagnosis or treatment. Please do not include personal health details in questions submitted during a webinar if you would prefer they remain private, as questions may be read aloud.

Why we collect it and how we use it

We use your information to:

Sponsorship and your information

We never share your personal information with sponsors. Some of our webinars are sponsored by third-party organisations. Sponsors receive aggregate reporting only — for example, the total number of registrants and the overall attendance rate. Sponsors do not receive your name, email address, contact details, questions, or any other information that could identify you. Sponsors have no role in developing the educational content, selecting speakers, or contacting attendees.

Who we share information with

We share your information only where it is necessary to run our webinars and communications, including with:

Some of these providers may store information outside New Zealand. Where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable safeguards are in place, as required by the Privacy Act 2020.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade our mailing list.

Marketing communications

We only send you marketing emails where you have opted in. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Unsubscribing will not affect your ability to register for future webinars. Our emails comply with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed to our list, and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping purposes. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we are required to keep it by law.

How we protect your information

We store personal information in secure, access-controlled systems and limit access to those who need it to run our webinars. While no system can be guaranteed completely secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access or disclosure.

Cookies and website analytics

Our website may use cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@sylviehealth.co.nz. We will respond within 20 working days.

Health information

Sylvie Health provides general health education. We are not your healthcare provider and we do not hold clinical records about you. Our webinars are not a substitute for personalised medical advice, diagnosis or treatment — always consult your own doctor about your individual circumstances.
